The 65th Convention of Nikkei and Japanese Abroad

Theme”Nikkei communities in a world of growing confusion and uncertainties - In search of new connections”
Overview
The objective of holding the convention is to furnish opportunities for the Japanese descendants all over the world to discuss challenges of Nikkei community, ways of cooperation between Nikkei communities themselves or with Japan, and deepen mutual understanding among each other.
It is cordially requested that as many Nikkeis and Japanese Abroad as possible will attend this convention. We also welcome non- descendants who have a great interest in Nikkeis and Nikkei communities and are active members of Nikkei organizations.

How to Entry
Any and every Nikkei and Japanese abroad are welcome to participate indifferent to his/her country of residence or nationality. We also welcome non- descendants who have a great interest in Nikkeis and Nikkei communities and are active members of Nikkei organizations.

※Please be noted that the first 150 applicants will be admitted to the main venue for the opening ceremony, but those who register after that may be required to watch the ceremony on a monitor in a separate room due to the venue conditions.
※Online participation is open to anyone interested in the purpose and theme of the conference.
Participation Fees(For in-person participation)
■General participant: JPY16,000, Youth: JPY8,000 per person (Early registration discount available until July 31.)
■General participant: JPY18,000, Youth: JPY9,000 per person (After August 1)
*Payment is required by credit card in advance.
*The Association of Nikkei & Japanese Abroad (Kaigai Nikkeijin Kyokai) will inform the applicant about the payment procedure by e-mail.
*The participation fee is for the entire three days. (There is no daily-participation-fee).
*There is no registration fee for online viewing only (Everyone is welcome to register for the online viewing, but only a portion of the event will be available online).
Hotel
Hotel Monterey Hanzomon is the designated hotel for the Convention.
Participants who want to make reservations are required to fill in the application form, selecting type of room in addition to check-in and check-out dates.
■Accommodation rates per night (incl, tax & breakfast, Sep.16th(check in) – 20th(check out))
Single room: JPY 20,500 per person per night
Twin room: JPY 35,000 per room(2 person) per night
■A Cancellation fee will arise before 21 days from a lodging day.
21 days to 15 days before: 30%
14 days to 2 days before: 80%
The day before/No-show: 100%
